Jerusalem, Israel (PRWEB) December 14, 2012
Imagine taking a front row seat to a global celebration ushering in a new era of humanity and global peace, right in your own temple, mosque or church, aligning with visionary religious and spiritual leaders throughout the world. On December 21, 2012 religious and spiritual leaders from the Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Druze faiths will all join together with their communities in a synchronized prayer for peace at sacred sites throughout the Old City of Jerusalem.
With the recent tensions in Israel and Palestine, world leaders are coming together to celebrate a day and moment of peace.
The Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders, The Jerusalem Peacemakers, The Abrahamic Reunion, and Peace Day LIVE are hosting this event in partnership with many international groups that will be conducting prayer, meditation and music events throughout the weekend. This is the first time in history that there will be simultaneous connected gatherings at the Western Wall, Wailing Wall or Kotel in Jerusalem and the Al Aqsa Mosque for Peace.
“Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people of all faiths will unite at the exact same time at sacred sites around the world,” said a spokesperson for UNIFY Jerusalem. “UNIFY Jerusalem is delighted to share inspirational prayers that will bring us closer to the Divine unification of our human spirit and shared ancestry as one global family.
“We invite all Religious/Spiritual leaders and congregations to fill local mosques, synagogues, churches, temples, ashrams and spiritual centers and offer heartfelt prayers and meditations in your native tongue. You may also participate by lighting a candle in solidarity and tuning in to the global live-streamed webcast from Jerusalem that will take place at 1pm IST (11am GMT) at http://www.unify.org ” concluded a spokesperson for UNIFY Jerusalem.
