In between the re-release of Finding Nemo’s 3D version in September and its Blu-ray version in December of this same year, children are treated to a yet another underwater sensational story in Vincent L. Pelosi’s newly published children’s book. Pelosi takes readers back to the past where animals were undisputed masters of the land, and into the deep where sea creatures ruled the oceans in The Magical Underwater Kingdom of Balenarium.

The book warps children back to a fantastical past. A long, long time ago, the animals thrived on land and the fish in the oceans…because they were able to think and talk. They studied and became important citizens. In the oceans, the Blue Whale was king whilst, on land, the giant Ape ruled supreme. It is in this era that this story of how they lived and what they did, how they enjoyed good times and united to deal with adversity, takes place.

It also takes readers to an unforgettable setting. Balenarium is a mythical underwater Kingdom where the majestic Blue Whale ruled. Its citizens are the ocean creatures who can speak, study and organise contests and social events. However, inevitably, there is always someone who sets out to create havoc and spoil the happy occasions. Such a creature is the villaneous white Pointer Shark with the imposing name of Carcharodon.

With a superb storyline, amusing set of characters and breathtaking underwater escapades, The Magical Underwater Kingdom of Balenarium is a book children cannot wait to read. Moreover, it is a book that they will hope to “sea in theaters,” like Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios’ award-winning masterpiece.
