IceWarp, the global messaging and collaborations solutions provider, announced today that Uzbek Computerization and Information Technologies Developing Center (UZINFOCOM) has adopted its solution to provide countrywide messaging services to a wide variety of organizations in the national Internet segment. The structural division of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan selected IceWarp over several competitors following a rigorous review process.

“As a government organization, UZINFOCOM operates on the principles of maximum efficiency and strict financial discipline,” said Tolibzhon Mirzakulov, chief of web development group of ZiyoNET Network Resource Center at UZINFOCOM. “Therefore, we select the solutions that are reliable, versatile and deliver rapid return on investments. Also, we choose vendors with flexible licensing policies to ensure budget predictability.”

Throughout the procurement process, UZINFOCOM looked at numerous messaging solutions providers, but only IceWarp succeeded in meeting the organization’s high criteria. UZINFOCOM has been evaluating these vendors since April of 2012. The organization’s selection criteria were based on fourteen parameters. The candidates were scored on the scale from 1 to 10 on each of them. IceWarp came on top.

“Comparison and analysis of the main characteristics and functional capabilities of the listed software products showed that IceWarp is the most fitting solution for our needs,” notes Mr. Mirzakulov.

IceWarp’s largest deal in this key market of Central Asia was completed through Softline, IceWarp’s largest reseller in Russia and CIS. Local presence, solid regional expertise and huge solutions portfolio allows Softline to fine-tune offerings to the specific needs of local customers.

“We are honored by the UZINFOCOM’s decision to select our product,” said Ladislav Goc, IceWarp President. “It’s a testament to IceWarp’s robust capabilities and flexibility that turns it into a compelling offering for high-growth emerging markets. We are also impressed with the SoftLine team’s ability to make a case for us.”

IceWarp’s flagship product is the IceWarp Messaging Server, a highly integrated solution that includes Mail Server with dual Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus protection. The product also has add-on options such as the IceWarp GroupWare Server, Instant Messaging Server, Text Messaging Server, a unified WebClient interface, full mobile device synchronization and much more.

The company is also offering LiveWebAssist, a multilingual business chat that allows companies to better monetize website traffic by interacting live with website visitors, from any location, through any device – desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet.

Already recognized as a leading email solutions provider and a viable Microsoft Exchange alternative, IceWarp (formerly Merak Mail Server) is deployed in more than 20,000 organizations and supports over 50 million users worldwide. The company disrupts the messaging category by delivering all email, mobile synchronization, SMS, chat, voice and video capabilities in one integrated, extremely secure and easy-to-deploy solution. Its customers include such market leaders as Marriott International, Inc., Verizon Communications, Inc., Inmarsat, AVTOTOR, Russian Space Agency, as well as small to midsized firms.
