The architects and engineers begin the design work in January 2013 and we anticipate completion by June 2016. Once completed, we will be able to better serve our membership through enhanced entertaining, dining and recreational facilities.

A sanctuary in the midst of Houston’s River Oaks area, The Briar Club announced plans for a major renovation project. Though the project includes major capital improvements and expansion of the facilities, the four-phased renovation will allow the club to remain open to its membership throughout the entire 30-month project. The Master Plan includes: a two-story clubhouse with 8,300 sf of event space, additional tennis courts, family pool, two-story parking structure, expanded men’s locker room, enhanced wellness facilities, senior fitness studio, and a new teen center. Conceptualized by McMahon Group, one of the country’s most respected private club consulting firms, the clubhouse will feature an expansive entry-way mezzanine, as well as spacious dining and banquet facilities.
“The capital improvement project received overwhelming support from the membership,” stated Richard Lareau, General Manager of The Briar Club. “The architects and engineers begin the design work in January 2013 and we anticipate completion by June 2016. Once completed, we will be able to better serve our membership through enhanced entertaining, dining and recreational facilities.”
