January 3, 2013 – The Basics of Annual Meetings and Board Meetings. Learn to conduct these important meetings in accordance with the Arizona open meeting law and the community association documents. With a few easy guidelines, attendees will gain the insight necessary to provide for the smooth, successful function of the annual meeting and board meetings. Each attendee will receive educational materials and a surprise give-away. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
February 7, 2013 – Transfer Fees, Disclosure Fees and Amending Association Documents. This mini-seminar will remove the confusion often attached to these community association fees. Transfer and Disclosure fees will be presented in an easy to understand manner. We will also discuss Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C.’s easy to follow Five Step Plan for amending association documents. Resource materials and a special take home treat will be given to all attendees. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
March 7, 2013 – Top 15 Most Important Laws for Community Associations in 2013. Many new state of Arizona laws were passed in 2012 that affect your associate today. We will discuss those laws and the federal laws that apply to community associations. Topics for this mini-seminar will include, but are not limited to the Arizona Open Meeting law, board removal procedures, fines and the Fair Housing Act. Pertinent facts and information regarding satellite dishes and antennas will also be presented. All educational materials plus a treat to take home will be provided. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
April 4, 2013 – Our Legislature is in Session and Questions, Questions – We have the Answers! Every year, at this time of year, the Arizona legislature has addressed issues regarding community associations and presented bills that could become law and affect your community association. This seminar will include a discussion regarding the possible new laws that could affect community associations. An extended question and answer session will be conducted where attendees will have the opportunity to have an individual question answered free of charge by a Mulcahy attorney. Take-a-ways include resource materials and a treat. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
