(http://www.empireoffice.com), a leading provider of contract furniture solutions, announces the expansion of its Florida operations with the acquisition of Storr Office Environments of Central Florida Inc. and Storr Office Environments of Florida Inc., prominent Steelcase dealers in Central Florida. The acquisition includes certain assets of the Tampa and Orlando Storr locations. The ownership of the Raleigh-Durham and Greensboro locations will remain unchanged.
With this strategic expansion, New York-headquartered Empire Office becomes the premier Steelcase dealer in the Orlando, Tampa and South Florida markets. This latest expansion increases Empire’s total footprint in the state to 165,000 square feet of showroom and warehouse space providing turnkey furniture services to a variety of industries, from large, multi-location Fortune 500 companies to local start-ups, and from hospitals and universities to automotive dealerships and hotels. Empire Office is forecasting 2013 revenue will be in excess of $350 million.

This is Empire’s second acquisition of a Steelcase dealer in Florida inside of three years. The first was the 2009 acquisition of Thomas W. Ruff South Florida.
