(The book) features road trips, 1950s clothing, music and young spirits as Michael describes adventures past and present.

Musician Michael Linkkin, a Baby Boomer born and raised west of the Missouri River, has been writing down his adventures since he was 4 years old. As this quirky new novel opens, Michael leaves a jam session only to be shot by a mugger who takes his trumpet. Hours later, the mugger taps on Michael’s window and trades the trumpet for a sandwich and a glass of milk, promising never to return. Michael soon leaves the music business for a new venture and meets his soul mate in the process, starting yet another series of adventures.
“Here’s Michael Book I” features road trips, 1950s clothing, music and young spirits as Michael describes adventures past and present. He’s asked to cooperate with the FBI in a sting to catch leather furniture thieves, buys a former dance hall where he can again play music, foils a robbery and saves the life of a good friend. Such deeds are commonplace for the big-hearted musician in this humorous, imaginative adventure tale.
Author Thomas Son enjoys writing fiction adventures. Son, who was born in Creston, Iowa, has visited most of the continental United States. Like his protagonist Michael, he also enjoys jazz music.
