Brooklyn-based LED lighting supplier and manufacturer LED Waves is holding a year-end sale. From Monday, December 17, 2012 to Tuesday, January 1, 2013, prices will be reduced 15%. In addition, shoppers may apply coupon code DEC2012 at checkout for free FedEx Ground shipping within the continental United States.

These special offers commemorate not only the holiday season, but also a year of proud accomplishments. In 2011 LED Waves launched a new line of LED lamps made in the USA under their in-house Original Equipment Manufacturing arm, LED Lustre. Their first products included a 4 foot LED T8 tube (a longer-lasting fluorescent replacement), an LED recessed down light fixture, and LED PAR30 and PAR38 flood light bulbs (both energy-saving halogen replacements). All of these exclusive products are distinguished by their highly detailed heat sinks, LEDs from leading manufacturer Cree, and a 5 year warranty.

2012 saw the release of a new low-volt light bulb, called the Los Angeles LED MR16. A 5 Watt replacement for a 35 Watt halogen bulb, this product was well-received by the lighting community due to its price (under $20), its high efficacy, and for its versatility especially in the commercial sector. Later in the year, LED Waves released the Houston LED PAR16 (or MR16 GU10), a line-voltage equivalent to the Los Angeles. This bulb features a twist-and-lock base, making it compatible for more residential applications.

LED Waves’ most ambitious new product takes the form of the Andromeda LED High Bay. A longer lasting, lower energy alternative to the 400 Watt metal halide lamps typically used in buildings with high ceilings, the Andromeda is expected to transform lighting in the industrial sector. Specifiers may control light quality and brightness by choosing from several different LED arrays and color temperatures, and added features such as an occupancy sensor and a diffuser lens.

In addition to adding the Dallas LED PAR20, this year LED Waves updated their other halogen flood light bulb replacements with a newer generation of chips from Cree. Find Department of Energy LED Lighting Facts information and specification sheets for each product on LEDWaves.com.

The 15% off and free shipping promotion applies sitewide, not only to the plug and play retrofit items like the bulbs above, but also to special orders. Call 1(800)986-0169 for large quantity pricing, help customizing a 12v LED track or cable lighting kit, or answers to any technical questions about LED Waves’ technology. Live help is available Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm EST; however, please note that the staff will be out of the office on weekdays December 24-25, as well as December 31-January 1, in observance of the holidays. LED Waves extends warm season’s greetings to all their customers and industry colleagues.
