Beirut, Lebanon (PRWEB UK) 18 December 2012
Global summits organiser, IRN, has announced today its inaugural Lebanon Oil and Gas 2013 Summit will be held in Beirut on 22nd and 23rd April 2013.
The summit will welcome over 200 senior executives, governmental officials and professors operating in the hydrocarbon industry in the Mediterranean, Balkan and Middle Eastern region.
Recent announcements have stated there are 31 sites with possible oil and gas reservoirs in Lebanon, and the government is determined to take advantage of its offshore hydrocarbon landscape and geopolitical position.
It has been widely reported that the Eastern Mediterranean is one of the most promising areas for new ventures and exploration, and this summit aims to provide a platform for the leading players in the market to come together to discuss the future of the region.
The main topics to be discussed at the summit include recent offshore exploration developments, analysis of the Levantine basin and its hydrocarbon potential, the first licensing round, the exploration status of the east Mediterranean Sea, assessment of the Lebanese geological landscape, bidding rounds in Lebanon, improvements in the transparency of the legal and fiscal framework, analysis of the maritime law and its application on the exploration, challenges and opportunities for natural gas exploration, energy efficiency and production in Lebanon and many others.
The Lebanon Oil and Gas Summit is the most recent addition to IRN's growing portfolio of oil and gas events. More information and registration instructions for the Summit can be found online at http://www.lebanonsummit.com.
