Following a $16 million renovation, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Tampa’s premier luxury hotel, invites guests and locals alike to celebrate the holiday season in upgraded style. From Christmas to New Year’s, the renewed 442-room hotel will host holiday travelers as well as Tampa Bay’s most discerning residents for a series of lavish holiday affairs at its three award-winning restaurants: Armani’s, Oystercatchers and Petey Brown’s.
A delight for the eyes as well as the palate, Oystercatchers is hidden among a natural landscape just 150 yards from the hotel. Boasting impressive bay views and some of the area’s freshest wild and line-caught fish, this perennial favorite will welcome diners on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve with its signature a la carte menu. House specialties include lobster macaroni and stuffed whole snapper. Diners can pair their meal with a special wine from the restaurant’s world-class cellar and end with a delectable dessert. On Christmas morning, families can gather together at Petey Brown’s, which will offer a bountiful holiday brunch. Comfortably placed within the hotel’s grand lobby, the restaurant offers casual American dining in a relaxed, unpretentious setting, perfect for families to gather together and leisurely enjoy time with one another, just like home. To ring in the New Year, Petey Brown’s will additionally offer an extravagant New Year’s Eve buffet dinner, featuring an assortment of hand-carved meat selections such as roasted garlic and herb prime rib and apple and pear-roasted pork loin as well as decadent dessert displays. With seatings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the dinner buffet will be $30 per adult and $15 per child (ages 6 to 12), plus tax and service charge. Kids ages five and younger eat free.
