In the wake of the shooting that happened in Newtown, Connecticut, the gun control law was put into the spotlight. And based on a report by, the incident got many reconsidering their negative stand on the proposed stronger regulations on guns. Meanwhile, Green Bean Buddy commented that at this point, it seems that a stricter law on assault weapons is exactly what is needed.

As shared in the report, the tragedy took the lives of 20 children and six adults. The gunman, as it related, was identified as Adam Lanza. It was said that he first took the life of his own mother at their home before leaving and massacred the children and staff in the said school.

The 20-year-old shooter, as the report said, used a military-style rifle during his rampage. And with that knowledge, gun control was again a hot topic. And as the report also stated, the incident also got the attitude of many toward gun control shifting. One person, particularly a government official, that it identified who was reconsidering his stand on stronger assault weapon regulations was Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin.
