Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) December 24, 2012

According to Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, expert facial plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, Botox has been named the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure for men in 2012 at the CENTER for Advanced Facial Plastic Surgery. Following the procedure as a close second was facial fillers, which work to provide patients with a youthful appearance by correcting facial volume loss.

“The top two cosmetic procedures performed in 2012 for men at the CENTER were Botox and Facial Fillers. Men don’t always immediately jump to surgery as the answer to rejuvenate their face, and they are noticing that non-invasive techniques can provide them with amazing results,” said Dr. Azizzadeh. “Botox and facial fillers work well together to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines will simultaneously replacing volume near the eyes, temples, and cheeks that has been lost as a result of the aging process.”

Rounding out the remainder of the list includes 3.) Rhinoplasty, 4.) Facelift/Neck lift, and 5.) CoolSculpting. As previously reported by Dr. Azizzadeh, though rhinoplasty comes in at number three on the top five procedures for men in 2012, the surgery topped the Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon's list of the top invasive cosmetic procedures of the year. Dr. Azizzadeh wants patients to know that It is imperative that rhinoplasty is performed by an expert surgeon to reduce the potential for revision surgery.

An interesting addition to the list for the first time includes CoolSculpting, a non-invasive treatment method that aims to remove stubborn fat when diet and exercise seem to fail and does not require any downtime. “CoolSculpting seems to be growing in popularity as the months go by. I think patients are finally starting to realize that the procedure can provide excellent results though it may take several months to notice,” said Dr. Azizzadeh. “This procedure is an excellent option for those suffering from stubborn fatty areas that don’t seem to diminish no matter how much we work out or eat healthfully.”

As 2012 wraps up, Dr. Azizzadeh feels that a continued increase in non-invasive cosmetic procedures for men will be visible in 2013.

“I don’t believe that procedures like the facelift or rhinoplasty are going to disappear from our list anytime soon, as they do provide the best results possible for what patients aim to achieve. However, plastic surgery is becoming more and more friendly to non-invasive treatments than ever before, and I would not be surprised to see treatments like Sculptra and the Liquid Facelift make this list next year,” said Dr. Azizzadeh.
