Cpl Learning and Development Announces Nationwide 'Journey to Employment' Training Scheme

Cpl Learning and Development to support Government-led Momentum project aimed at training over 6,500 job seekers.

Cpl Learning and Development, part of the Cpl Group, Ireland’s leading recruitment company, announces its participation in the ‘Momentum Project’, which was launched by the Tánaiste, Eamon Gilmore this week. The innovative nationwide training programme, aims to provide 6,500 job seekers with the necessary skills to re-enter the workforce.
All training courses delivered by Cpl Learning and Development through the ‘Momentum’ project are completely free of charge and will provide participants with training in the Food and Healthcare industries, certified by FETAC. The courses will run for a period of up to 6 months, including a work placement period of approximately 3 months. Participants in the scheme will also be entitled to retain their Social Welfare benefits for the duration of the course.

Courses will take place across the country, commencing in January and February 2013.
Commenting on the announcement, Cpl CEO, Anne Heraty said, “Cpl Learning and Development is delighted to partner with Momentum for this exciting new initiative. With unemployment running at 14.8% and 429,567 people on the Live Register, the economic landscape in Ireland remains a very challenging one. The Momentum programme provides a significant opportunity for candidates to develop the necessary skills to return to the labour market.
