Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 18, 2012
If members of the military can’t be home for the holidays, then they want Blake Shelton to perform for them on Christmas, according to a new poll conducted by militarysingles.com, the largest online military dating community for singles. The Country crooner and The Voice judge beat out Beyoncé, Chris Brown, and Taylor Swift, to claim the top spot. South Korean sensation PSY came in second (16%), with military singles hoping for a rousing Gangnam Style dance session to raise their spirits this holiday season.
As for holiday gifts, most voters wanted to come home for Christmas. More than 70% of military men and women wanted a week off to spend time with their family as their perfect holiday present. 15% are looking for love, so that they don’t have to spend the next holiday season alone, while 10% would be really happy with some Christmas cookies, candy cane, and a nice bottle of wine.
“Our military singles are an extremely practical, family oriented community. It’s no surprise that they prefer a week off with family, before World Peace,” said Meir Strahlberg, CEO of Avalanche, LLC. “As for our single military members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard, we aspire to help them achieve their wish gift to meet that special someone in the New Year.”
The poll was conducted in December 2012 and was taken by active duty U.S. military singles, ages 19-45, stationed both in the United States and abroad. Following are the complete poll results:
