Americana singer/songwriter Dave Tucker releases his fourth studio album, "In Kind," produced by recording artist and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum songwriter Wendy Waldman, in the home studio he built for her.

“Tucker recalls pop, folk, country, and rock with vivacious energy, flipping and tossing them in the air like a maestro veteran straight from the times. It makes Dave Tucker a necessity in the world of modern music.” -- The Noise Beneath The Apple

New Jersey-based Americana singer/songwriter Dave Tucker announces the release of his fourth studio album, "In Kind," produced by recording artist and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum songwriter Wendy Waldman (“Save The Best For Last”). A carpenter by day who believes whole-heartedly in the bartering system, Tucker built Waldman’s new home studio in Los Angeles and in exchange recorded "In Kind" with her in the new “Longhouse II.”

“I have dubbed this album the ‘sleeper of the year’ from the Longhouse," says Waldman. "It's a wonderful CD, and Dave's singing is quite marvelous, not to mention his writing.” "In Kind" features Dave Tucker (acoustic guitar, vocals), Phil Hurley (lead guitar), Tom Fillman (drums/percussion), and Ted Russell Kamp (upright, electric basses). It was engineered by Mike Sawitzke, mixed by Rob Hoffman (Quincy Jones, Christina Aguilera), and mastered by Sangwook “Sunny” Nam at the Mastering Lab. "In Kind" is now available in physical and digital formats, including CDBaby (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/davetucker12/), BandCamp and soon iTunes.

Longhouse II now acts as the home of the acclaimed public radio show FolkScene on KPFK, which has been on air for more than 40 years. Additionally, the likes of John Cowan, Karla Bonoff, Lisa Haley, The Refugees and Phil Hurley have recently recorded there. While in the studio with Dave Tucker, Wendy Waldman took on the roles of both producer and mentor, helping him to blend the lines between music and carpentry. They asked, “What part of a song is the foundation, the windows, the floor, and so on?” The result is "In Kind," a well-crafted album, rich in raw, integral passion and a whole lot of sweat and blood.

Dave Tucker will celebrate the release of "In Kind" with a concert at home in Millburn, New Jersey at Martini Bar on December 27th at 8:30pm EST.
