“We are honored to be recognized by top executives from across the industry and all over the world."

Clearwater Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 21, 2012

Clearwater Beach Uncorked, an annual food and wine weekend founded and produced by Floridata Capital Assets Group and held at Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, has received the Silver Adrian Award for public relations excellence in the special event category. For their partnership in launching this highly successful event, Floridata, along with the resort and the City of Clearwater, will be honored by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) at the 56th Annual Adrian Awards Gala on January 28, 2013, in New York City. Attracting more than 1,100 entries worldwide, the Adrian Awards is the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.

“We are honored to be recognized by top executives from across the industry and all over the world,” said Brian Kramer, general manager of Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach. “We are particularly pleased that we made this impressive achievement for the event’s inaugural year. As patrons to this year’s festivities can attest, Clearwater Beach Uncorked was even bigger and better this fall. We look forward to topping the event in 2014 and showing visitors and locals alike all that our renewed destination has to offer.”

Due to the success of the inaugural two-day celebration, held November 19 – 20, 2011, Clearwater Beach Uncorked has since become an annual food and wine weekend, bringing together the area’s best chefs, winemakers, spirits producers and local venues—all under a large tent on Clearwater’s pristine white sands. Participants enjoy samples of local dishes, wines, micro-brews and craft beers while exploring the new shopping, dining and entertainment offerings on the half-mile Beach Walk. In addition, a portion of proceeds are donated to the Abilities Foundation, helping Floridians with disabilities, and Florida Restaurant and Lodging Associations’ ProStart program.

"Since it has opened on Clearwater's Beachwalk, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach has become a premier destination on Florida's Gulf Coast, and Clearwater Beach Uncorked is but another reason why visitors and residents enjoy being in sparkling Clearwater," said Mayor George Cretekos.

On January 28, 2013, HSMAI will present trophies to Adrian Award winners at its annual gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives at the New York Marriott Marquis.
