MoneyGram today premiered the “MoneyGram Melody” music video on its YouTube channel starring people from the U.S., U.K., and Italy singing lyrics from popular holiday tunes.

To create the music video, consumers were invited to sing a meaningful holiday song on camera, and the footage was edited into a compilation of performances. The featured footage on MoneyGram’s social channels can help bring consumers closer together by spreading and sharing the video with friends and family.

With its presence in 197 countries around the world, MoneyGram created the MoneyGram Melody video to celebrate the cultural diversity of its customers and their holiday celebrations by showcasing the spirit of the season through festive karaoke.

The MoneyGram Melody video is one aspect of the company’s online initiatives to engage consumers during its global “Bringing You Closer” holiday campaign. Another campaign element features a video contest on MoneyGram’s Facebook page that invites consumers in select countries to share their favorite holiday memory. Two winners will be selected to each receive an airfare voucher to bring them closer to friends and family.

MoneyGram’s “Bringing You Closer” campaign is designed to build consumer preference for the company’s money transfer services during the holiday period, which typically experiences seasonal increases as consumers around the world send money to loved ones.
