Imprivata®, the leader in healthcare IT security, today announced the appointment of Carina Edwards to senior vice president and head of its new Customer Experience Group, enabling the company to continue its focus on customer success as its business experiences rapid growth. Edwards brings 17 years of healthcare IT experience to this new group that aims to deliver world-class experience across the customer lifecycle and drive success with Imprivata’s solutions to ensure customers are able to meet new and emerging healthcare IT security challenges.
“Carina’s strong track record of making healthcare organizations successful with a variety of technologies makes her the ideal candidate to lead our Customer Experience Group,” said Omar Hussain, president and CEO, Imprivata. “The mission of this new group is simple: to make our customers successful partners for life. Our customers’ success is intrinsic to our own, and it is critical that our services model evolves as our customer base continues to grow and our offerings expand.”
Commitment to customer success has always been a part of Imprivata’s corporate heritage, demonstrated in its number one ranking in the 2012 KLAS Single Sign-On report, “Strong Positive” rating in the Gartner 2011 Marketscope for Enterprise Single Sign-On and the exclusive endorsement of Imprivata OneSign® Single Sign-On by the American Hospital Association (AHA). The alignment of all customer touch points under one group enables this focus on customer success across the lifecycle to scale as the franchise continues to grow and new product lines are introduced.
Prior to joining Imprivata, Edwards was the vice president of Solutions Marketing for the healthcare IT division of Nuance Communications where she redefined the go-to-market strategy and rebranded the product portfolio to reposition the organization for multi-product sales, helping Nuance achieve larger market share and increased sales to its base in order to achieve double-digit growth. Edwards also held executive roles at Zynx Health, a subsidiary of Hearst Corporation, Philips Healthcare, Sapient, and Impact Innovations Group. She received her MBA in marketing from Boston College and her BS in management information systems and decision sciences from George Mason University.
“I’m excited to be joining Imprivata and leading the Customer Experience Group, as its mission is one I’m very passionate about,” said Carina Edwards, senior vice president of Imprivata’s Customer Experience Group. “In the ever-changing landscape of healthcare IT, we want to be sure that we not only deliver the benefits of Imprivata solutions to our customers, but that we’re also looking at their unique ROI and success criteria post-deployment, so every experience with Imprivata delights them. Everything my team does will center on driving high level satisfaction through proactive approaches to meeting current and emerging industry challenges. And we will deliver this in a way that is unique to Imprivata.”
