The Alta Chamber & Visitors Bureau announces its celebration of Alta Ski Area’s 75th anniversary, including special lodging packages, events and a sweepstakes to win one of three getaway packages to Alta Ski Area. Join the Alta Chamber & Visitors Bureau (Discover Alta) in Alta, Utah this January as they celebrate 75 seasons of the Alta Experience.

“Alta, Utah has been the home of powder skiing since 1938, and in 75 years, not much has changed,” says Kylie North, Coordinator of The Alta Chamber & Visitors Bureau (Discover Alta). “The authentic ski experience is still very much alive in Alta, and we invite skiers to return home this January to celebrate the snow, the feeling, and the beauty of Alta.”

There are plenty of added values in store for skiers planning to vacation in Alta, Utah this January, and the ski-in ski-out lodging deals can’t be beat. The Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge (GMD), conveniently located just steps from the Collins Chair at Alta Ski Area’s Wildcat Base, is offering 20% off new reservations for Alta’s 75th birthday in January. The GMD boasts “Alta’s best access to The Greatest Snow on Earth,” and embraces the excitement of early morning “first chair” hopefuls. Rates include breakfast and dinner daily.

The Alta Peruvian Lodge, which is the home of the famous Alta après hot spot The Peruvian Bar, has created a birthday package that allows visitors to hop on a plane and begin their ski vacation, without lugging along ski gear. Ski and boot rentals will be FREE for the month of January for new reservations at the Alta Peruvian, and guests can also enjoy birthday pool parties and Alta Historical Society fireside chats. Rates include breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Looking for a home or condo to rent in Alta? Alta Chalets is offering a free Ski Salt Lake Super Pass to use at Alta Ski Area or Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort for qualifying condo reservations this January. Canyon Services is also rewarding guests in January with Alta75 discounts on many of their condo rentals. Both property management companies have rentals available in locations ideal for the mixed skier/snowboarder families or groups visiting Little Cottonwood Canyon.
