2012 Marks inovia's 10th Anniversary and a Record-Setting Year

“We’ve had a remarkable 10 years with 2012 being the most successful year on record,” said Justin Simpson, founder of inovia.

inovia, the leading foreign filing provider, is on pace to close a record-setting year fueled by 45 percent revenue growth, new services added to its global instruction platform, and rapid expansion of its international network of agents, which now covers 110 countries.

2012 marks inovia’s 10th anniversary providing companies, law firms, and universities with a powerful technology solution for reducing the cost and complexity of foreign patent filing. Considered to be the category creator for online foreign filing instruction, inovia has grown in concert with the increased worldwide demand for outsourced IP solutions, and now files more than 10,000 patent applications per year.

Throughout its 10-year history, inovia has been instrumental in changing the industry’s way of thinking about outsourced IP solutions – putting an emphasis on cost, quality and efficiency when it comes to foreign filing. In addition to cutting-edge functionality like the 1-click quote tool and agent choice – both revolutionary features for the industry – 2012 saw inovia extend its services to include direct patent filing and US trademark search and registration.

2012 also marked inovia’s continued innovation and strengthening of its IP portfolio. Earlier this year, Japan joined the patent offices of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa to grant inovia patent protection for the technology behind its European patent validation service. The company’s global instruction platform,, is also recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) as a notable invention.

inovia increased its user base by 80 percent in 2012 to 3,400. Major law firms and patent applicants the world over have been quick to embrace inovia as a trusted, strategic partner:

  • “inovia has consistently provided all the services it claimed it would and more and has responded quickly to customer suggestions on ways to enhance its product and services,” shared Raymond Parker, Ph.D., Assistant General Counsel and Vice President, Patents at Aptalis Pharma.
