Jacksonville, Florida – December, 2012 Consumer Attorney Services welcomed partner Scott Harris to their team of attorneys in December to help tackle newly added foreclosure cases in Oklahoma. Consumer Attorney Services experienced a national increase in recent foreclosure cases and responded by fortifying their foreclosure defense team across the US to help protect homeowners from losing their homes.
Consumer Attorney Services believes Harris’ unique skillsets and talent make him a perfect fit for partnership with Consumer Attorney Services. Harris graduated the Oklahoma City University School of Law and has extensive experience working with bankruptcy and foreclosure defense cases.
Harris is a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. According to the Scott Harris Law website, “Because of his hard work, willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and his dedication to the cause, he was awarded the ‘RUDY’ award for his outstanding commitment.”
Harris’ high quality skills and expertise will be put towards protecting homeowners in Oklahoma from foreclosure. Consumer Attorney Services believes their rise in recent foreclosure cases in Oklahoma is due in part from higher unemployment rates and lower mean hourly wages.
According to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics website, unemployment rates in Oklahoma rose from 4.7 percent in June 2012 to 5.3 percent in October of 2012.
A June 2012 news release from the United States Department of Labor Bureau on Labor Statistics, described how workers in metropolitan areas of Oklahoma had about an 11 percent lower hourly wage than the nationwide average of the United Sates in May 2011.
Consumer Attorney Services believes the rise in unemployment rates combined with a lower hourly wage than the mean national average helped produce their recent rise in foreclosure cases in Oklahoma. When jobs become less available, and hourly wages are insufficient, home foreclosure can become a very real possibility.
Consumer Attorney Services’ teams of foreclosure defense professionals are staying busy. In non-judicial states, 131 homes were protected from foreclosure in the month of November. Consumer Attorney Services trusts their addition of partner Scott Harris will only increase their numbers of satisfied clients.
Consumer Attorney Services is a full service consumer advocacy law firm founded in Jacksonville, Florida, helping families with foreclosure defense, debt settlement, bankruptcy law, client care, and more. Consumer Attorney Services hopes their additions capable of attorneys, like Scott Harris, will help battle the second wave of foreclosures, and meet the rising demand for foreclosure defense professionals.
