National Education was selected by the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) to lead a presentation at their 2012 annual conference held in Boston. Around 80 decision-makers attended the presentation, titled “Tuition Discounting Practices: Breaking the Cycle”, which was lead by Matt Scotty, President of National Education.
National Education is honored to have been recognized by EACUBO as an authority on tuition discounting practices.
The session focused on the history and trends of tuition discounting at private institutions, and introduced one solution that can generate net tuition revenue for these schools: SAGE Tuition Advantage. One of the key features of the program is that it accommodates students’ financial needs by reducing the APR to 0% when students graduate and make timely payments.
The presentation and Q&A period offered college and university business officers a better understanding of how discounts rose to the unprecedented levels of today, why this model has become unsustainable, and what they can do to stop this vicious circle. Those in attendance left with knowledge of a program they can implement to increase net tuition revenue and put their institutions on solid footing for a future of uncertain higher education funding.
National Education, established in 1988, is a financial solution company sharply focused on developing, marketing, originating and servicing education financial products. National Education has received the “Exceptional Performer” designation from the U.S. Department of Education.
