Dr. Arthur Shapiro, DMD has been recently named as an accreditation candidate by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Shapiro has over 20 years experience as a general, cosmetic and implant dentist in Miami Florida. He practices in the Pinecrest community which is just south of the city of Miami.

As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Shapiro has been awarded a certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Management from the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is focused on the art and science of cosmetic dentistry, as well it encourages the highest standards when it comes to responsible patient care and ethical professional conduct. It accomplishes its mission through offering high standard educational opportunities and by promoting a respected accreditation credential for dentists who are dedicated to cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Shapiro remarked, "The process of accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is extremely thorough and requires that an accreditation candidate demonstrate proficiency on actual patients performing a number of different cosmetic procedures to the satisfaction of a board of examiners."

He further remarked, "For a dentist just going through the process it requires an intense amount of focus on their cosmetic dentistry practice and their techniques. This is not a program for the general dentist who only dabbles in cosmetic dentistry but rather for dentists whose focus is on cosmetic dentistry."

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry accreditation process, as well as, Dr. Shapiro's constant commitment to advanced training in implant dentistry and other areas of dentistry makes Dr. Shapiro a leader in advanced dentistry in the Pinecrest South Miami area.

Dr Shapiro explains, "I believe that ongoing training is vital for all health care practitioners to maintain their currency in the latest research, techniques and science to provide the highest level of care for our patients.
