Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) December 19, 2012
The Colorado Chiropractic Association (CCA) is again giving back this holiday season with donations to the Denver Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army.
CCA’s second Vice President Dr. Kelvin Washington practicing in Conifer, Colo. organized the association’s 2nd Annual “Talks Turkey” and “Adopt a Family” holiday giving programs this year.
Colorado Doctors of Chiropractic donated $1,200 to purchase turkeys from King Soopers. The birds were delivered to the Denver Rescue Mission and served at the “Great Thanksgiving Banquet” on Wednesday, November 21. At this banquet, over 1,200 holiday food boxes were distributed to low-income families in Metro Denver. Donations given to the Denver Rescue Missions help provide 136,000 meals to those in need during the holidays.
CCA Doctors of Chiropractic also made a donation to the “Adopt a Family” program coordinated by the Salvation Army. This generous donation made it possible for a military family of five to enjoy this holiday season.
“CCA doctors are caring individuals,” said Dr. Washington, “I’m very proud of how they stepped up this year to help those less fortunate.”
