Cynthia Winkler hopes that readers will gain an assurance that the Bible has real answers for the problems and struggles they face today as they mature in God’s kingdom.

“I wanted to take the inspiration I had received from the examples of strong, faithful women in my life and build a story around their experiences that would inspire other women to continue to walk in faith even when the world’s foundations fall away,” explains Cynthia Winkler regarding her new novel “When the Manna Ceased: Facing the Wall” (published by WestBow Press).

Readers follow Rose Colbert as she begins to rebuild her broken life after she finds out that her husband has been unfaithful. In addition to the stress of this building process, an old cold case grows warm when Rose’s daughter goes missing and all the clues point to the uncaught killer. As Rose attempts to find her daughter, she quickly learns that she has been marked for death. Rose must relearn how to trust in God before her life careens out of control and she is left with nothing.

An excerpt from “When the Manna Ceased”:

“The feeling of urgency grew stronger inside Rose as she and Gina walked down the trail in the dark from the main highway toward the Stone Brook School. The closer they got, the more certain Rose was that she was in the right place. The what-if questions still nagged at the back of her mind, however. What if this place had nothing to do with the disappearance of her daughter? What if she was fatally endangering Haley?”

Cynthia Winkler hopes that readers will gain an assurance that the Bible has real answers for the problems and struggles they face today as they mature in God’s kingdom.
