At the heart of UK Immigration, making migration to the UK a reality.

The census review is likely to cause confusion as it offers a contradictory account of UK Immigration numbers when compared with the Government’s account.

A recent review of UK Immigration figures by the Office of National Statistics appeared to identify that numbers immigrating to the UK were declining, a result celebrated by Prime Minister David Cameron and the majority of the Conservative party.

However, the recent results of the census appear to offer a different outlook, highlighting that UK Immigration numbers are rising, with an estimated 7.5 million people now residing in Britain who were born outside of the UK.

A statement from UK Immigration Barristers said: “Our own review of the census clearly leads us to believe that UK Immigration numbers have increased. Whilst the Government may celebrate annual reductions in UK Immigration figures, the bigger picture provides a different story.”

The results of the census were officially unveiled on Tuesday 11th December, having been conducted on the 27th March 2011. The census provides a comprehensive review on society’s thoughts concerning a number of topics, including UK Immigration.

A UK Immigration Barristers spokesperson, said: “The census review is likely to cause confusion as it offers a contradictory account of UK Immigration numbers when compared with the Government’s account. We are simply asking for honest answers, a clear indication of the number of immigrants in Britain.”

The spokesperson added: “Judging by the results of the census review, the face of Britain is changing as a result of UK Immigration as communities become more diverse. As a company we want to assist our clients in the best way we can and we constantly review our services to do so. What we need are consistent and clear results in order to have up-to-date information available.”
