Consumer Attorney Services donated 150 pounds of food and two large bins of toys filled with stuffed animals, trucks, dolls and sporting goods to the Hubbard House food and toy drive on December 17, 2012. Consumer Attorney Services was proud to support Hubbard House’s efforts to give back to victims and children of domestic violence this holiday season.
Consumer Attorney Services collected nonperishable food and toys from November 19, 2012 – December 14, 2012 to donate to the Hubbard House food and toy drive. Over 150 team members of Consumer Attorney Services eagerly supported the cause by submitting their donations.
According to its website, the mission of Hubbard House is to make every relationship violence-free. The Hubbard House offers safety and shelter for victims and children of domestic violence including physical, emotional, economic, and sexual violence. The Hubbard House does not discriminate, and will take in people of all ethnic, social, and religious backgrounds. They shelter more than 5000 people every year and roughly 90 people every day.
The Hubbard House provides services in the form of emergency shelter, outreach programs, children’s services, batterer intervention programs, as well as training and education. The Hubbard House holiday food and toy drive is just one of their many efforts to give back to the victims and kids of domestic violence this holiday season.
Tom Adam, a partner with Consumer Attorney Services, met with a representative of the Hubbard House to pass on Consumer Attorney Services’ donations. Adam felt the Hubbard House food and toy drive was an excellent way to give back to the Jacksonville community.
