CPAmerica International’s 2013 Board of Directors Will Meet in January

CPAmerica International, an association of large independent certified public accounting firms, has announced its 2013 board of directors. The new board will have its first meeting of the year at CPAmerica’s office on Jan. 9-10 to discuss 2013 initiatives and other long-term goals.

CPAmerica International, an association of large independent certified public accounting firms, has announced its 2013 board of directors. The new board will have its first meeting of the year at CPAmerica’s office on Jan. 9-10 to discuss 2013 initiatives and other long-term goals.

David J. Nissen, leading partner of Mueller & Co. LLP in Elgin, Ill., is the new chair of the board. He succeeds 2012 chair, Scott T. Wallace, managing director of Arizona-based Wallace, Plese + Dreher, LLP.

Bryan R. Chandler, leading partner of JamisonMoneyFarmer PC in Tuscaloosa, Ala., has been elected to the vice chair/chair-elect position.

“We are excited about the opportunities in 2013 and I look forward to working with every member of the board,” said Alan Deichler, CPAmerica president. “As we continue to implement our strategic plan, I am assured our board of directors will be a great representation of our membership.”

Among the nine elected board members, returning board members include, Leslie C. Daane of Barnard, Vogler & Co., in Reno, Nev.; Frank P. Discenza of Testone, Marshall & Discenza, LLP, in Syracuse, N.Y.; Joseph V. Pease of Pease & Associates, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio; and Michelle L. Siner of Dunbar, Cook & Shepard, P.C., in Indianapolis, Ind.

The two newly-elected board members include Charles F. Helme III of Thompson, Greenspon & Co., PC, in Fairfax, Va. and S. Scott Voynich of Robinson, Grimes & Company, P.C. in Columbus, Ga.

“I’m excited about continuing on with a very solid strategic plan,” said Nissen. “CPAmerica is unlike any other association, with members who are very involved and motivated to help each other strive toward continuous improvement.”
