“I missed my opportunity to play in the spotlight, but my passion for the game of basketball has given me the chance to help other players live their dreams.”
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) December 21, 2012
If passion is a requirement for team ownership in the new CBL Exposure League, then the Portland Rainmakers will be an unstoppable force. Stephen Cason, the new owner of the semi-pro basketball team, brings with him a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit and a lifelong love for the game.
From the age of 9, Cason was one of those naturally gifted players who never wanted to leave the basketball court. As he grew older, his skills developed to the level where he was offered opportunities to play college basketball. He even had the chance to play semi-pro basketball in the International Basketball League.
Sadly, Cason’s overwhelming shyness kept him from showing the world his athletic abilities. He turned down every opportunity he had to play basketball in front of adoring crowds. “Many of the guys I played with back in those days went on to successful careers in the NBA,” Cason recalls.
Now, at the age of 32, Cason’s ownership of the Portland Rainmakers has brought him full circle. Dismissing any regret, Cason says, “I missed my opportunity to play in the spotlight, but my passion for the game of basketball has given me the chance to help other players live their dreams.”
As a team owner, Cason plans to work with the CBL Exposure League to nurture the careers of young players eighteen and up. He also will continue to support the Salvation Army Biddy Basketball Camp in Portland, Oregon. Many of the players in Portland have excellent potential but are insecure about their skills. All they need is support and a platform to build their confidence.
The CBL Exposure League offers aspiring college and professional basketball players a great opportunity to showcase their skills and earn an income. The league also has many profitable team ownership opportunities throughout the country. Visit http://www.CBLsemipro.com today to register to play or to apply for team ownership.
The new season starts on May 1, 2013. Ticket prices for games are only $5 so fans can bring the entire family. Affordable advertising and sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses.
