Yoics, an acronym for Your Own Internet Controlled Stuff, is a combination of cloud platform and mobile applications that provide a seamless way for devices to communicate and be accessed and controlled easily and securely across the Internet. The Yoics device API allows networked devices to be connected to or shared like any web service, while maintaining strict privacy and security for the user. The Yoics ‘Device Cloud’ platform already processes over 1.7 million secure connections per month for end users who are connecting to ‘Powered by Yoics’ devices.

Device makers and developers have two ways to utilize Yoics’ cloud services for their products. They can either take advantage of the full turnkey solutions that Yoics provides, or they can rapidly develop their own solutions on the platform using the Yoics Open Device API. In turnkey solutions, network cameras, network attached storage devices, and routers feature re-skinable mobile apps for iOS and Android operating systems, along with web portal access.

“Yoics’ goal is to be the ‘DNS’ for devices,” said, Ryo Koyama, co-founder and CEO of Yoics. We are thrilled to be once again partnering with a visionary company like Philips, enabling the coming generation of mobile controllable devices.”

Yoics has established partnerships with semiconductor companies and manufacturing companies that include the Yoics solution into their standard reference platforms. This integration, combined with the ‘re-skinable’ Yoics mobile applications provided to the device manufactures, allows for an incredibly fast time-to-market solution.
