Imagine access to an airport VIP lounge, without yearly membership fees, open to all passengers regardless of airline flown or class of ticket. Keep dreaming right? Wrong!
Airport Lounge Development (ALD), a company specializing in the design, construction, and management of passenger airport lounges has just announced that it will be opening its fifth “common use” airport VIP lounge in early January. The Club at SJC will be located in Silicon Valley’s – Mineta San José International Airport, in Terminal A, across from Gate A15 on the 3rd level.
“The Club at” brand of lounges are unique in that they don’t require an annual membership fee. They also provide access for everyone regardless of airline flown, or class of ticket purchased. Passengers just need to purchase a day pass at the reception desk for $35.00. These common use lounges are more casual and affordable than the traditional airline VIP lounges. In many cases, day passes at “The Club at” brand are 30% less than other airport lounges.
It’s a new concept that’s becoming more common and is quickly becoming the next “must have” in passenger services for airports. “We’ve seen a real need for passengers to be able to get away from the sometimes crowded departure areas, and into a lounge where they can have ample comfortable seating, charging stations throughout the lounge, and in some lounges, shower facilities for those looking to freshen up after long international flights.” Said Graham Richards, Director of Operations for ALD. “We provide all of this at an affordable price, without the yearly membership fees.”
Passengers visiting The Club at SJC can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, including beer, wine and liquor. The club also has high speed Wi-Fi, workstations with PC’s and printers, newspapers, magazines, flight information display screens and shower facilities. Travelers will find themselves in a warm and welcoming environment with a variety of settings – social spaces for dining or a cocktail, places to attend to business matters, or quiet areas for reading and relaxing. And all spaces have incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The lounge has approximately 7,400 square feet and seating for 128 people.
