We hope that our users will be able to utilise these changes and create more varied resumes depending on the job they are applying for.

Resume Surgeon, the resume and career expert, has added more resume templates to its growing service.

Resume Surgeon ( specialises in resume advice and templates. The website offers a bespoke tool for users and members and allows them to create a unique resume online. Members also receive an abundance of information and career advice to help them create the perfect resume. Resume Surgeon has now added more templates to their portfolio, giving users access to more creative designs.

Will Martin, Director, explained: “We have always prided ourselves on offering unique resume templates to our user base and this recent expansion means that our users now have more variety. There are now seven unique templates to choose from, all varying in design and layout. We hope that our users will be able to utilise these changes and create more varied resumes depending on the job they are applying for.”

The resume templates available to members differ in look but they are all designed to help candidates and jobseekers create a professional looking resume. The first template allows the candidate to enter information into strategically placed boxes and has a pale blue design. The other six templates include graphics where users can enter their initials and a photo box where users can upload their profile photo. The templates are designed to fit a variety of jobs as Martin explained: “Each template is different for a reason. We know that our users all have different work experience and different skills. We know that all of our users will be applying for different roles that require different skills. Therefore the templates are designed to help candidates make each application different. There are templates available where users can add images – which can be helpful when applying for creative jobs but there are also resumes that are laid out professionally and simply which may be more appropriate for office based jobs. We hope to continue to build on the templates available and to continue helping our members to find employment.”

As well as the templates on offer, Resume Surgeon offer resume advice and career help. The advice section of the website tackles a number of career issues including job interview advice, job search tips, resume writing tips and cover letter writing. The articles, which are hosted on the website, allow users to search and browse through advice whilst writing and updating their resume. There is also a section of the site, Industry Spotlight, dedicated to interviews with people working in a variety of industries. The interviews are designed to give candidates an insight into different industries and to give them expert advice on how to find work in the sector.

Earlier this year the Resume Surgeon team also launched a career video channel on You Tube to further help users with their job applications. The channel has career interviews, resume tips and advice on most stages of the job hunting process. The videos are available instantly on the channel and also feature on the website.
