There is a growing demand for leaders within the IT industry who can provide effective and strategic direction and growth. This program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for career advancement.

Colorado State University-Global Campus (CSUGlobal.edu) is proud to offer a new Information Technology Concentration for its popular Master of Science in Management program. This new graduate level concentration is designed to fulfill the specific demands of professionals looking to advance into management positions within the competitive IT field as well as managers looking to enhance their leadership abilities in technology rich environments.

“In today’s global economy, technology is a vital part to any organization’s success and sustainability,” said CSU-Global President, Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker. “There is, therefore, a growing demand for leaders within the IT industry who can provide effective and strategic direction and growth. This program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for career advancement.”

The M.S. in Management – IT Concentration provides in-depth knowledge of the theory and practical application of information technology management. Students learn to recommend and execute technology-based solutions that align with strategic and operational objectives of the organization. In addition to the key competencies within the M.S. in Management degree program, students who select this concentration will complete six online IT courses including electives in IT topics that allow for further degree customization. Additionally, the capstone project— which is the final comprehensive course of the program and the culmination of all degree material— has a technology focus to further assist in the professional development of working professionals needing real world IT solutions.

“This concentration differs from any of our other degree customization options in that it truly bridges both subject areas to provide a deeper understanding,” stated CSU-Global Provost and Senior Vice President, Dr. Jon Bellum. “The learning outcomes of the M.S. in Management remain consistent with the added benefit of addressing the unique and complex issues of the IT industry now and into the future.”
