Vancouver Symphony Orchestra under Conductor Bramwell Tovey is coming to Orange County, CA for a performance on January 28, 2013 at the 1000-seat Soka Performing Arts Center. The program will feature internationally acclaimed pianist Jon Kimura Parker and will include Edward Top's "Totem," the Grieg Piano Concerto and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5.

Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is the third largest symphony in Canada and this is its first performance at the one-year-old Soka Performing Arts Center, which is rapidly becoming known for its acoustic excellence.

Dubbed "the best concert hall of its size in Southern California..." by Los Angeles Times music critic Mark Swed, Soka Performing Arts Center opened in September 2011 with acoustics by Yasuhisa Toyota, who also designed the acoustics for Walt Disney Concert Hall. The new Soka Performing Arts Center is also LEED Gold certified for its green roof, solar panels and environmentally sensitive design.
