In his new novel “Hope Town: Reality of a Dream” (published by AuthorHouse), author Richard L. Seaberg draws from his personal experience to tell a story that weaves philosophy, historical facts and an original narrative together in a beautiful tropical setting.
“Hope Town: Reality of a Dream” is structured in three creative parts:
In the first part, “Sarah and the Goat,” readers are transported to the islands of the Bahamas during the late 1700s in a tale featuring early settlers – Loyalists – and their way of life which is not as different from today as one might think.
In the second part of the book, “Older Houses of Hope Town,” dreams of building a new life are connected with the building of houses. Mr. Seaberg presents this building process as a frame for the creation of a beloved community known as Hope Town.
Thirdly, the inspirational weave, “Reality of a Dream”, connects the narrative tale, history and one of Mr. Seaberg’s own dreams with the aspirations that have been realized by many people searching for a new life in Hope Town, from the time it was originally settled until the present.
