My purpose is to let people know that spirituality should be part of our daily lives, not as religious practice, but as a way of life.

Laura meets Daniel, a mysterious and intriguing individual, one day at a coffee shop. After a heated conversation about spirituality, Daniel warns Laura to be aware of her surroundings. Laura ignores his warning which ultimately ends with her in the hospital. While there, she asks her friend Lluvia to go find this strange man and bring him to her.
Lluvia find him in the coffee shop but also has the misfortune of running into her ex which results in a spiritual conversation by Daniel to help calm her. Now both girls, confused and interested as to who Daniel is, embark on a journey of spiritual discovery that will take them beyond anything they can imagine.
An excerpt from “Goodbye Death, Goodbye”:
“Have you ever run into those that dare to violate that inner temple of others, grabbing from them their beliefs, their ideals without any respect, leaving nothing in return for what they have taken, to thereafter flee like murderers from their crime scene? That is the most similar thing to death, and it is the only thing that I fear. Once he finished saying this, he fell into a deep silence. Laura meditated about his words, and after an instant said: If it is as you say, I may have stumbled many times with that death without noticing it.”
“I want readers to take away something that they can identify themselves with, and to lose fear of death as mankind knows it,” explains Alcala. “My purpose is to let people know that spirituality should be part of our daily lives, not as religious practice, but as a way of life.”
