sweetiQ, provider of the world’s first enterprise-class location-based marketing and analytics platform is pleased to announce that it has been selected from among Canada’s top technology companies for the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program. The program, managed by the Canadian Trade Commission Service, in association with the Canadian Consulates General in San Francisco and New York, has recognized sweetiQ along with a short list of high growth Canadian startups spanning information and communication technology (ICT), digital/social media, life sciences and clean-tech.

sweetiQ joins CTA cohort #4 for a three-month business-building intensive in Silicon Alley, New York, hosted by the prestigious accelerator General Assembly (generalassemb.ly). From this new satellite office, sweetiQ executives will focus on business development and new customer acquisition with some of the largest retail chains and advertising agencies in the world.

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) of Canada plays an active role in helping Canadian companies achieve their goals of growth in international markets. Its services are focused on helping companies prepare for international markets, assessing market potential, finding qualified contacts and partners and resolving problems. The TCS at the Consulate General in New York has established a Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) in New York City to help Canadian digital media companies further their goals of success by accessing key in-market resources.
