Following a recent article about a poll showing less meat consumption in America, Yumi Media offered comments on the news.

On December 25, 2012, Yumi Media commented on a Choose Veg article regarding a recent poll showing that 39% of Americans are eating less meat.

According to the Choose Veg article, “The NPR-Truven Health Analytics Health Poll surveyed 3,000 adults nationwide and found that thirty-nine percent are eating less red meat now than they did three years ago.”

The article stated that the reasons for this increase in eating less meat came from environment awareness, animal welfare, and most of all health benefits of eating less meat. The article states that not only is there a growing number of people becoming vegetarians, but more Americans are just choosing to eat less meat then they used to.

According to the article, some celebrity role models may be helping the situation, stating “They are certainly in good company, joined by high-profile celebrities, such as Meredith Vieira, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bill Clinton, Ellen DeGeneres, and Russell Simmons.”

Yumi Media offered their comments on the recent poll news. “This is great news. People are becoming healthier, while also saving animals lives, and helping with the environment,” says Yumi Media representative Takara Licausi. “ I recommend trying Quorn meat alternatives to help with eating less meat.”
