New York, NY (PRWEB) December 22, 2012
Four new restaurants opened this month, Dinner on Ludlow, The Hudson Bond, Spring and Willow Road, each offering a different mix of meal options varying from chicken, steak and pizza to sandwiches, pot-stickers and charred bean salad. Yet another is looking at an overhaul and new name in the New Year - Abe & Arthur's will see an update as a new chef and partner joins EMM Group to oversee the changes. The New Year will also see Major Food Group, owners of Torrisi and Parm, open a new restaurant in the Meatpacking District. On a sad note Soutine, a popular bakery, has closed after 30 years.
BLB is excited to see the growth and changes continuing in the restaurant industry but is sad to see a neighborhood staple leave with the closing of Soutine. The new restaurants and overhaul will help keep several areas on the cutting edge of where to eat in New York as New York diners constantly look to new and/or trendy dining options.
Abe & Arthur's co-founded by Mark Birnbaum is the popular Meatpacking District restaurant that opened in 2009 to almost immediate success. Bright Lights Business expects to see continued success under the helm of Marc Forgione, who plans on adding dishes associated with New York to the menu. It is not yet known what the new name will be when the restaurant reopens later in 2013.
The constantly evolving world of New York eateries has seen several new options open in the past month and will continue to see changes in the New Year as more new restaurants are planned and others plan rebranding.
