Crystal Members should be excited that their lifetime membership just got extended past the end of the world.

Crystal Travel's lifetime membership just got extended past this current lifetime. Mayan's predicted the world was going to end just a few days ago, and yet it didn't. So to celebrate, Crystal is adding another lifetime membership to all current members, for no extra charge.

And if you're wondering, yes, Crystal is just having fun. According to General Manager George, "There are or were some people that were convinced that the world was ending. And they asked me, if the world doesn't end, what happens to our membership. I thought they were kidding but they were serious. So to make it clear, all of our lifetime memberships continue on in perpetuity."

Crystal is a private travel club located in Thousand Oaks and offers members discounted travel and excellent service.

But the Mayan prediction has increased travel into Chichén Itzá, where thousands had converged to celebrate the end of the Maya calendar and some claim the end of the world.

Hotel rooms were hard to come by. At Chichén Itza; Tischleder says most places required a four-day minimum stay. The Cancún Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates that end-of-the-world festivities will bring in 40% more tourists this week, compared with last year.

Crystal General Manager George continued to say, "Whatever it takes to get our members to travel and enjoy that quality time with their loved ones, that's all that matters and we're all for it."
