Celebrate Make a Cut-Out Snowflake Day the creative way with Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is celebrating Make a Cut-Out Snowflake Day December 27.

The paper snowflake is one of the simplest and most popular crafts of all time.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is spending Make a Cut-Out Snowflake Day in a paper-crafted winter wonderland in honor of the time-honored childhood craft.

“The paper snowflake is one of the simplest and most popular crafts of all time; it seems like everyone has created a paper snowflake at some point in their life,” said Nicole Long, manager of inspiration for Jo-Ann. “With so many people having memories of creating paper snowflakes in their childhood, hopefully we inspire them to create more.”

To join in the cut-out snowflake fun with a traditional paper snowflake:
1.    Fold a square of paper in half twice to create a smaller square
2.    Leaving the folded point intact, cut notches and shapes into the folded paper with scissors as desired
3.    Once satisfied with your design, unfold the paper and you have your own unique snowflake

Creating a simple paper snowflake is as easy as that, but, to celebrate Make a Cut-Out Snowflake Day, the craft experts at Jo-Ann wanted to take the project to the next level. With some poster board and ingenuity, they created a giant, 3-dimensional snowflake that leaves most asking, “How did you do that?” To find out how you can make your own 3D snowflake, go to:
