Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
Tattoo Manufacturing, the world’s largest manufacturer of temporary tattoos, is continuing its commitment to exporting high-quality, US-made products. In 2012, the company received an AZ STEP Grant from the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) to assist with exporting products to new international markets.
AZ STEP (Arizona’s State Trade and Export Promotion) is a program undertaken by the ACA and the U.S. Small Business Administration. The program’s grants help Arizona companies increase international exports and revenues, and thus create more jobs in the local Arizona economy. Beyond grant monies, the program also provides resources including training workshops, assistance with translating printed and digital marketing materials, coordinating international trade missions, and identifying possible strategic partners in international markets.
Kevin O’Shea, AZ STEP Program Manager, describes the program’s success: "Currently, we have approximately 150 Arizona companies participating in our AZ STEP program, and in its first year, companies are reporting considerable success. As a result of our assistance, Arizona companies are now able to export for the first time, and companies already exporting have expanded - or will expand - sales into new markets. An increase in international sales not only boosts revenues, it also makes them even more significant engines for job creation and economic growth in Arizona."
Tattoo Manufacturing is an Arizona exporter that ships to locations around the world. In 2012, the company sent sales representatives to many international trade shows and events to promote Tattoo Manufacturing products and manufacturing capabilities. The AZ STEP grant monies will help the company continue to grow into new international markets in the coming years.
Tattoo Manufacturing is committed to manufacturing all of its products, including temporary tattoos, stickers, paint books, and coloring posters, in the USA. The company employs more than 100 people at its Tucson headquarters and has won awards from the Tucson Metro Chamber for Best Place to Work and Business Growth. Over the next three years, the company is planning to invest resources in the form of capital investment and additional staff to specifically support international growth.
