Expert Reviewers and Editors from CEAG's TV Buying Guides have write ups on the new line of LG Google TVs for the new year. There are two different series with many models for each. The GA6400 series is the mid-teir model, while the GA7900 will be the top-teir entry. Jack Burden explains that the LG 47GA6400 is “part of LG's expanded line of LED televions equipped with Google TV along side the standard LG Smart TV features. This broadens the functionality of the TV greatly. Google TV adds the full Chrome web browser, deep search features, voice recognition and more to your TV, making for a fuller online experience to your living room. This TV even has access to the Android marketplace so many apps you on a smartphone or tablet can be run right on your TV. ”
The other sizes in the series come loaded with the same features, but allow shoppers to find a size just right for the room the TV will go in. The LG 50GA6400 has a, “redesigned Home Dashboard includes apps like HBO GO, Youtube, and many other choices that will get you the best content right away. LG has also jumped onboard with OnLive to make the day of any gamer. It is installed out of the box which grants access to their large library of current and older games.”
LG also has a larger version of the same model, the LG 55GA6400. Jack goes into a little more detail about what is included with the series. “Included with the GA6400 is the second generation of LG's innovative Magic Remote, also called the Magic Wand Remote. This secondary remotes operates using motion control and was quite impressive when we did hands on tests of the 2012 version. All you have to do is point and click. This makes navigation much easier when surfing the internet or looking through downloaded apps. The second iteration of this little remote includes a QWERTY keyboard and voice recognition.”
Lastly there is the LG 55GA7900. This one is a little different than the 6400 series when it comes to the design of the TV. Reviewers explain what they think of the Cinema Screen design. “The LG 55GA7900 also receives the ultra thin 5mm (.2") panel depth and Cinema Screen design that shows very little bezel. To see it you really have to be looking for it. It is a window like effect and the most unobtrusive frame we've ever seen and we like it. The stylish design supposedly gives the viewer a more involved experience.”
