Andy Puls honored for charitable work, impact on international, growing firm.

As continued evidence of its quality talent, Troutman Sanders received another accolade this week, as associate counsel Andy Puls was recognized by the San Diego Daily Transcript as one of America’s Finest City’s Top Young Attorneys ( Through a peer nomination process, Andy was selected as one of only twelve attorneys practicing for one–two years with the characteristics who are: Hard-Working & Detail-Oriented, Knowledgeable & Enthusiastic, Ethical & Professional, and Committed to Furthering the Interests of Justice in Society.

Puls has had an impact both in the office and in the community. Focusing his efforts on business litigation while supporting the firm’s senior attorneys, he has been a key member of the team. Outside the office, his efforts with Transform San Diego—an organization that provides support to San Diego’s large homeless population—help many of our citizens in need. He also has helped build residential dwellings in Tijuana. He cites the interaction with people and the opportunity to make a difference as the main reasons he is so active in the community.

Puls an associate in the Business Litigation practice group in the firm’s San Diego office. He represents both local and national clients in a variety of commercial contexts, including breach of contract claims, business torts, real property disputes, and insurance coverage. Prior to joining the firm, Andy interned in the Los Angeles Superior Court for the Honorable Anita H. Dymant and the Honorable Alexander H. Williams, III (Ret.) in the Appellate Division and the Settlement Court, respectively, and at The National Security Archive research institute in Washington, D.C.

The Transcript’s Top Young Attorneys have seven years of experience or less practicing law in private, public, contracts or Federal patent practice. They are hard-working and detail-oriented, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, ethical and professional, and committed to furthering the interests of justice in society.
