Their support is critical to the well-being of our cats and kittens. Everything they do for us leads to successful adoptions and healthy, happy felines. They are a critical part of our shelter family.

Teamwork is the norm when it comes to vet care for shelter cats at Caring for Cats, Inc. (CFC) in North St. Paul, Minnesota. The partnership between the all-volunteer, no-kill shelter and TLC Veterinary Clinic in Oakdale, MN ensures that the cats and kittens at CFC get the best vet care possible. As the year comes to a close, both organizations are celebrating a decade of work together and the results of those efforts.
TLC has been Caring for Cats’ primary veterinarian for over 10 years. Dr. Houstoun Clinch and Dr. Kathy Langness, along with their team of vet technicians, respond daily to both routine and emergency health needs at CFC. Over this period of time, nearly 2,000 cats and kittens at the shelter have been cared for by TLC.
“We enjoy working with all the cats and varied problems they present. We have learned a lot working with the shelter. We do extend a significant discount to CFC as part of our partnership with them,” said Dr. Clinch.
“We are so thankful for all that TLC does for our shelter,” said Kelley Schmidt, CFC Shelter Operations Manager. “They are so responsive and helpful to our staff, and their support is critical to the well-being of our cats and kittens. Everything they do for us leads to successful adoptions and healthy, happy felines. They are a critical part of our shelter family.”
To celebrate the partnership milestone, the shelter created a video with interviews of volunteers earlier this fall. “Caring for Cats, a Family Portrait” can be viewed at: http://youtu.be/NeoC41l2cWc.
