The 2013 NFL Wild Card Games have been set.
Week 17 of the National Football League is done – the regular season for the 2012-2013 seasons is officially over and the playoffs will start next Saturday, January 5, 2013. The matches for the Wild Card games are all set. There are shockers, newcomers and teams that are expected to take home field.
In the AFC, the Denver Broncos got the first round bye and took the home field advantage through the AFC playoffs. The Broncos, led by the re-surging Peyton Manning, defeated the lowly Kansas City Chiefs in their last regular game. This is the Broncos’ 11 games winning streak. The New England Patriots, led by Tom Brady, is seeded number 2 as they won against the Miami Dolphins and the Houston Texans lost to Indianapolis Colts (seeded 5th). The Houston Texans relegated to the third seed while the Baltimore Ravens, who lost to the Cincinnati Bengals (seeded 6th), got the fourth seed.

Texans vs. Bengals – winner will face Broncos
Ravens vs. Colts – winner will face Patriots
In the NFC, the Atlanta Falcons secured the first seed and home-field advantage throughout the NFL playoffs last week and their loss yesterday to Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not matter to their advantages. The San Francisco 49ers got the second seed after beating the Arizona Cardinals. These two teams got first round bye. The Green Bay Packers are seeded third as they lost to the Minnesota Vikings (seeded 6th). The Washington Redskins got the fourth seed by beating the Dallas Cowboys, their first division title since 1999. The Seattle Seahawks got the 5th seed.

Packers vs. Vikings – winner will face Falcons
Redskins vs. Seahawks – winner will face 49ers
