The Circle of Care Burn Foundation (http://www.circleofcareburnfoundation.org) announced a new program to serve burn survivors: The A. Richard Grossman College Scholarship Fund. The Fund will provide financial support for up to five years to a burn survivor who can demonstrate need.
Dr. A. Richard Grossman, Founder of the Grossman Burn Centers said: "We are very gratified to be able to establish this fund to aid burn survivors who otherwise might not be able to further their education. The future recipients serve as a powerful reminder of resilience and optimism."
The Fund joins a list of essential services provided by the Circle of Care Burn Foundation. Linda David, CEO of the Circle of Care Burn Foundation stated: "The A. Richard Grossman College Scholarship Fund advances our longstanding commitment to burn survivors, and will assist them in realizing their dreams. The Foundation thanks Elizabeth Rice Grossman and Dr. Grossman for their generous gift."
The Circle of Care Burn Foundation's mission is to improve the lives of burn survivors and their families. The foundation currently offers an extensive list of services to burn survivors including:
- Direct patient assistance
- Emergency assistance fund
- Burn survivor camp
- Continued education for medical professionals
- Burn prevention education for seniors
- Burn survivor and family support groups
