CTEK, a leading smart battery charger provider, is pleased to announce a partnership with supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg to supply a CTEK 7A charging platform with every Agera R - Koenigsegg’s limited edition version of the Agera supercar.

CTEK’s partnership with Koenigsegg will see a Koenigsegg-specific 7A charging platform included in the sale with every Agera R, currently one of the world’s fastest production supercars. The 7A charging platform has been created specifically for use with the Agera R to ensure appropriate battery charging and conditioning is delivered to the battery to guarantee optimised battery performance.

The Agera R is a special edition of the Koenigsegg Agera, running on biofuel rather than petrol. It has currently broken six world land speed records for a production car, including the 0 – 300 km/h record, reaching this speed in 14.53 seconds. The Agera R can reach 0 – 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, and has a reported top speed of 275 mph.

Jan-ulf Soderberg, Head of Brand and Marketing at CTEK, commented: “We are very happy to announce our new partnership with Koenigsegg. With Koenigsegg being one of the leading supercar manufacturers, we believe our partnership with the manufacturer illustrates the effectiveness of the CTEK charger in guaranteeing optimised battery performance, and extended life, when used all year round.

“When paying such a large amount for a car the owner needs to be assured that it will continuously run at peak performance, and regular use of the CTEK charger ensures that the chance of encountering problems with the battery is significantly reduced.”

CTEK is a leading provider of battery maintenance products to the consumer market. CTEK battery chargers use patented technology to ensure that chargers are spark-free and short-circuit proof to ensure batteries avoid damage during the charging process.
