Seven Oaks Farm, makers of Aloe Cadabra, is pleased to announce that in December, it became the first and only personal lubricant certified to the new NSF/ANSI 305 Organic Body Care Standards and will soon carry the organic certified labeling on its packaging.
Quotes company President, Brian Chossek, "For many years, there has been confusion as to what is and what is not organic. We're pleased that ANSI and NSF have partnered with organic certifiers around the country in order to provide a definitive set of compliance guidelines so that companies who are working hard to create the best possible organic products have the opportunity to certify their products and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. It's the next step in the evolution of body care products and a direct result of consumer demand for them."
NSF/ANSI 305 organic standards for body care are modeled off of the USDA organic standards for foods. Their certification process calls for transparency in the ingredients utilized and the processes utilized to turn those ingredients into finished products, as well as providing a way for independent third parties to audit manufacturer's books to insure they remain in compliance.
Chossek adds, "The increased costs and the additional processes we have to follow to meet NSF/ANSI 305 standards are well worth it. It further validates our efforts to create the most natural product that we can and allows retailers, stores and consumers to trust that our effortss aren't just greenwashing. We're proud to be the first in our segment to step up to the plate and to provide consumers the opportunity to see the difference before they Feel The Difference."
