Back by Popular Demand - Managing Information in SharePoint, Deep Dives into SharePoint Architecture and Knowledge Management

We are once again pleased be co-hosting this educational series that features both industry experts and market leading organizations imparting their valuable knowledge and experience.

Concept Searching, a global leader in semantic metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy management software and developer of the Smart Content Framework™, announces the 2012 Expert Webinar Series hosted jointly with Project Performance Corporation. The 2011 Series of Expert Webinars proved so successful that the second series will provide all new topics focusing on how to develop an understanding of using SharePoint to be an effective information management resource.

Enterprises can use SharePoint for collaboration, but they also need a core strategy to maximize the disparate tools available to help achieve business performance objectives. This series will provide best practices on how to develop and reshape your strategy. Concept Searching will provide an overview of the Smart Content Framework™, a toolset that provides the enterprise framework to mitigate risk, automate processes, manage information, protect privacy, and address compliance issues in SharePoint.

The Smart Content Framework™ is a multi-disciplinary solution delivered through the Concept Searching technologies that encompasses the entire portfolio of information assets, resulting in increased organizational performance and agility. Underlying the Smart Content Framework™ are technologies that provide the ability to transparently tag content, classify it to organizational taxonomies, preserve and protect information through the automatic identification of records and privacy data, and act as a migration tool. The end result is the facility to leverage out of the box SharePoint capabilities to manage information, make it more strategic, effective and compliant.

Expert guest speakers from partners and clients will join the series to share their expertise through case studies and real life experiences. This series is both educational and practical in the use of best practices, from a strategic as well as tactical approach.

Guest speakers include:

  •     Dan Harper, Chief Web Strategist for the US Army Medical Command
  •     Todd Magnusen, Senior SharePoint developer at Oppenheimer Funds
  •     Lt Col David Sanchez, USAFR, Deputy PM, USAF Pilot Physician Program
  •     Tom Reamy, Chief Knowledge Architect and founder of KAPS Group
  •     Brad Teed, CTO and Vice President of GimmalSoft
  •     Raimund M. Wasner, Managing Director at Kollabria

Throughout the series the presenters will explore topics such as the Term Store and Managed Metadata Properties, designing Taxonomies and Metadata Schemas, leveraging Legacy Data, making full use of Managed Metadata Services, deploying Governance Policy, the importance of Content Types, and managing user expectations.
